Kratom products are ruling the market. Originating from Southeast Asia, this botanical product is now creating waves in the West. There are various types of kratom products available in the market –  one of the most common is Thai Kratom.

As the name suggests Thai Kratom is a type of Kratom that originates from the tropical regions of Thailand. Thailand is famous for its intense rainfalls, humid weather, and dense rainforest. All of these conditions are necessary for the growth of long and tall kratom trees.

These trees are then harvested to process this special type of kratom – Thai Kratom.

Thai Kratom strains were being cultivated in Indonesia by ensuring that the environmental conditions provided to the kratom products were the same as those of Thailand. This is because of the ban on Kratom cultivation in Thailand. Indonesia remains the number one producer of Thai Kratom to this date.

How is Thai Kratom Produced?

Thai Kratom is produced in a way similar to other types of kratom. For instance, the leaves are handpicked from the tall kratom trees. Then the leaves are dried either indoors or outdoors – the drying method is mainly dependent on the kratom product that is desired by the manufacturers.

The dried kratom leaves are then used to produce a wide variety of kratom products such as capsules, extracts, powder, and shots.

Types of Thai Kratom Available in the Market

The potency of Thai kratom is heavily dependent on the time at which the leaves are harvested during their lifecycle.

White Thai Kratom

When the leaves are harvested during their initial phase of growth – the veins of the leaves are still developing and the color of the veins is white – this type of Thai Kratom is known as white Thai kratom or White Vein Thai kratom.

Green Thai Kratom

The leaves have grown and the veins are green in color. At this stage when the leaves are harvested the Thai Kratom is Green Thai Kratom or Green Vein Kratom. The green veins of the leaves are an indication of the maturity of the kratom leaves.

Red Thai Kratom

Red Thai kratom is obtained when the leaves are properly mature and the veins of the leaves exhibit a dark and rich red color. This extremely rich dark color is an indication of a high alkaloid profile of the leaves.

What is the Difference Between Thai Kratom and Maeng Da Kratom?

Thai Kratom is easily distinguishable from Maeng Da Kratom. Consumers often tend to confuse these two strains because these strains share a similar point of origin.

The main difference between these two strains is that Thai Kratom is native to the regions of Thailand and Maeng Da Kratom is a hybrid strain which means that it is produced by mixing one or two kratom strains (Crossbreeding kratom practices).
